Nike HyperKO 1 Boxing Shoes — Full US 6 to 12.5 Size Run, In Stock

The most common reason a fighter ends up in the wrong boxing boot isn't preference. It's availability. The HyperKO 1 has been out of production for years, and what's left in circulation is mostly second-hand, mostly mid-range sizes, mostly sold before you find it.

This is new stock, and every size from US 6 through 12.5 is on the shelf — including the half sizes and the ends of the run that vanish first.

Get the size right the first time

Nike's own guidance on the HyperKO line, based on customer feedback, is to order half a size up from your normal shoe size. That advice holds, and it's the single most useful thing on this page.

Here's why it matters more in boxing than in any other footwear. A boxing boot is cut deliberately snug — a loose boot lets your foot travel inside it the instant you pivot, which is the exact movement the whole shoe exists to control. But snug is not the same as short. A boot that's genuinely too small cramps your toes against the front on every forward step, and you'll feel it by round three.

  • Between sizes? Take the half size up.
  • Wear thicker socks or wraps down to the ankle? Half size up.
  • Wider foot? Half size up — the HyperKO 1 is cut on the narrower side.
  • Narrow foot, thin socks, true to size normally? Your usual size will work.

Why the HyperKO 1 still gets asked for

Nike moved the line on — the HyperKO 3 is now the lead shoe heading into the 2028 Olympic cycle, and the 2 is being retired behind it. Both newer models chase lower weight. The 1 doesn't.

That's the whole reason fighters keep hunting it down. The forefoot strap plus Flywire gives you more lockdown than either successor, and lockdown is what stops your foot shifting inside the boot when you sit down on a shot. If you plant to punch, or you carry weight, structure is worth more to you than shaving grams. Plenty of boxers tried the newer models and came back.

Making them last

Gym floor and ring only. Walking to training in boxing boots wrecks the thin outsole faster than anything else you can do to them — it's the single most common reason a pair dies early.

Wipe the upper after each session, air dry away from direct heat. A radiator stiffens the sole and cracks mesh at the flex points. The white panels will mark; that's the trade for a boot that reads clearly under ring lights and on gym cameras, where all-black footwear disappears into the floor.
